Why is smoke leaking from the side of my Egg?
Fix misalignment and gasket issues that cause leaks.
Overview
Light leaks at startup are normal. Persistent leaks affect temperature control.
Fix it
- Level and tighten both bands so they’re parallel.
- Replace flattened or charred gaskets.
- Center the dome on the base before final tightening.
If the issue continues
Have a dealer check hinge alignment or install a new gasket.
